"Code Black Pearl" is the first book written under the hashtag "Spies." The hashtag indicates the specific category within which this series will be written. Each story in this series will be numbered sequentially, making it easier for readers to identify which category, series, and character a particular book belongs to—because "#Spyverse" isn't just a single character, but an entire team, with multiple members, and any two of the six main members may appear in a single story.
This team is attached to an additional desk of the Research and Analysis Wing, known as 'Indraprastha Intelligensiya' – whose aim is to develop characters like Double O Seven, Jason Bourne, and Ethan Hunt. Essentially, these are cases related to the term spy, handled similarly to special agents – and this overlap is why the series has been labeled as spies. These agents have no restrictions on domestic or foreign locations – their workspace can be anywhere… provided there is the presence of some suspicious activity that has no relevance to the civil police – or they have been assigned some kind of task.
This is the initial phase of this additional unit of RAW, and in a way, it's also an experimental one, whose successes or failures will determine its future. Currently, six key agents have been selected for this program—three boys and three girls. The rest are supporting staff. All these key agents have been honed through rigorous training at home and abroad, preparing them for the future—but their true test will be in the field, where they must prove themselves in practice. Where every mistake counts, and where any oversight can lead to death.
Each of their tasks is given a code name—sometimes directly representing the mission, sometimes in a symbolic or allegorical form… and this code is the title of the story. To avoid having to write it repeatedly, it's important to state it—for example, the task this story addresses is named Code Black Pearl. The name refers to the device, technology, or information that is named Pearl and that has been stolen.
The story goes that a secret government program was being run, the exact details of which were only accessible to those at the top level—those who ran it or led it. The man in charge of this program, Richard Kissinger, suddenly fled the country, leaving behind all the data, devices, and technology related to the program he was handling.
Sangram Thapar and Rozina Ryan from the Indraprastha Intelligensiya team are sent after Richard Kissinger. Their task is to eliminate Kissinger and destroy any data devices he may have. Kissinger flees to Finland via Turkey and joins forces with a local white-collar mafia. When Sangram and Rozina arrive, they are forced to contend with a major local gang war over Kissinger… and only then do they learn the truth about the case.
What was shown was an incomplete truth—the full truth makes them feel the need to learn a new definition of patriotism. They also realize that Kissinger, no matter how important he was, was actually just a minor cog in a global game... But now they can't back down even if they wanted to. They had to complete the task they were given, and in doing so, they had to confront not only three white-collar local mafias—but, in the final stage, they had to confront an organization that had control over all of Europe.
So, the story involves an agency, two special agents, a criminal who isn't even a criminal, Finland, the three combined cities of South Uusimaa: Espoo, Vantaa, and Helsinki—their beautiful landscapes, and three white-collar mafias battling each other, embroiled in a war among themselves because of Kissinger... and it's the criminal organization that ultimately emerges to take control.
